Hawksmoor showcase ethically raised homegrown Longhorn beef, and delight in the bespoke, the reclaimed and handcrafted when sourcing materials for their restaurants. We in our turn are equally passionate about creating the bespoke and handcrafted.

So, when we saw the design concept for the subterranean space referencing the style and glamour of the 1920’s we knew this place was really going to look the business. We particularly liked the elegant curved lines of art deco styling, and mix of brass, walnut, oak and silver leaf. So it was a great pleasure to interpret into glass the feature decorative glazed screens designed by Macaulay Sinclair for this Hawksmoor in Knightsbridge.

Using top quality mouth-blown glass we created the amber, sage green, and clear glass panels for the three feature screens at the end of the dining room. These were matched with curved screens forming the two kitchen pass windows. The sage green glass was chosen to form the brass edged panels for the sweeping curved glass wall of the wine room.

Our next Hawksmoor project was in Manchester. Keeping faith with the original interior we were asked to re-shape re-cycled 1930s copper-lights to fit into the arched pass screen and the reception cloaks cupboards. Reflecting back across the dining rooms we also made some glamorous silver leaf panels for the walk through columns and the bulkhead above a wall of re-claimed copper-light panels.
