Social Eating House and The Blind Pig
58 Poland Street, London

The Social Eating House is in a converted London townhouse. We are very pleased to be associated with Jason Atherton’s social restaurants in London, and being part of the evolution of new fun spaces in Soho. Following the brief from the designers Russell Sage Studios, a variety of vibrant mirrors were created for this enterprise.

Opposite the bar in the ground floor social restaurant are a set of huge, deep space-black antiqued mirrors evoking a galaxy of tiny silver stars scattered across the surface. The restaurant ceiling coffers are covered with various widths of a lighter antique mirror to create a sense of both height & depth to the space.

The same effect is achieved in the first floor Blind Pig speakeasy, by fitting over one hundred squares of antique bronze mirror into a dark timber panelled ceiling. At the other end of the room of oak panels, leather, and reclaimed furniture sits the copper-topped bar behind which our antiqued mirrors are set within a curved grainy wooden surround reflecting the ingredients for their top-notch cocktails. It became best international restaurant bar in June 2015!

Some of our antique mirrors feature in the Little Social in nearby Pollen Street, and as a framed montages in the Social Wine and Tapas Bar, Marylebone.
