The Emin Room above 34 Mayfair
34 Grosvenor Square, London

The private dining room at this Mayfair restaurant houses specially commissioned art by celebrated artist Tracey Emin and will be filled exclusively with her works, evolving as she adds one-off creations from tapestries to individual bronzes and upholstery, paintings and neons to the collection.

We were therefore proud to continue experimenting on making a new style of mirrors for 34 Grosvenor. We made well over 300 individual smokey antiqued mirrors, using heavily textured mouthblown reamy glass to give a dramatic sense of dazzling movement. The reflected mood lighting in the dining room is enriched by the expanse of mirrors framed within bespoke wooden panelling, including the window recesses. And saving the best until last, our mirrors act as a foil for Tracey’s turquoise neon light installation You loved me like a distant star.
