Bacchanalia
Mount Street, Mayfair, London

“You are coming to Bacchanalia to experience the interior” – as the review in Dezeen remarks.

We would say that Tony Sandles Glass specialises in creating opulence to experience! And we were very pleased to have been chosen to contribute to the escapism of this Mayfair Greco-Roman restaurant.

Bacchanalia was a major project for us, but the kind we are used to, having previously delivered on time for Annabel’s Club, The Ivy and Scott’s.

We used scores of books of silver and gold leaf, all carefully layered by our team onto precisely-cut glass making hundreds of mirrors destined for installation throughout the restaurant following the brief from MBDS to create ceilings, screens, niches and table tops.

Reflected in the diamond arrangement of silver leaf mirrors forming a canopy over the backlit onyx bar is the upside down world of the colourful spirit bottles arranged below.

Softly reflective silver-leafed bevelled mirror panels were set into burgundy velvet screens to divide the main dining room from the bar area. Also, all the bespoke bistro tables are topped with our slightly distressed gilded mirrors.
