The Platinum Arowana Room, Scotts
Mount Street, London
According to GQ magazine those seeking the best culinary views in the world will have to add Scott’s new private dining room, The Platinum Arowana, to their list, and the lavish interior design makes it “home to the most expensive restaurant interior in the world”.
The intimate space seats eight guests, in a nine square metre room lined with priceless works of 19th and 20th century art. The Tatler remarks that the room’s finery includes “bespoke mirror-panelled walls”. Indeed, the paintings are in turn framed by the handmade antique mirrors created in our studio.
We installed hundreds of bespoke cast glass architectural elements forming the columns, dados, ceiling cornices and skirting, all given a richly golden antique treatment converting a backroom office into “an opulent entertaining space” according to The Standard.
We were invited by the MBDS design team to work on this very special room. This follows on from the diverse range of silver leaf and antique mirrors we made for Annabel’s including the Legacy Room, where we transformed a windowless basement room into an ethereal mirrored interior.
